This is one of the places where Bonfire's slow response to each of the feed-filling selections gets in the way.

But it looks like all of my messages in this thread appear in Activities and Discussions, but only the first message appears in Posts.

Does that seem accurate?

Activities and Posts seem to show posts from everybody. Are Discussions different? Let's see if I can tell. Answer in next message, so I don't lost this one...

Part 2: I vaguely remember, but might have imagined, a feature that allowed me to show all the posts in a thread. Does that exist? If so, how to access it?

I wrote a long post and lost the whole thing when the text box disappeared. I'll try again but less verbose and maybe more shorter posts so I don't lose so much work.

So this might be part 1 of several.

I am interested in features that allow me to follow conversational threads in #bonfire - like in Mastodon you can click the three dots at the bottom left of a post, open a little selection menu, and select "Expand this post".

Are y'all working on performance improvements? Seems slow, but I have not measured it. I'd be happy to participate in some performance testing if we could incorporate some good measurements.

@stpaultim I tried to post a reply but got a full-screen error message. Trying again. Maybe we can find another time.

Do you have some time on Sunday? Maybe we could try some experiments to test out how they work.

So I saw Hamish (Vagabond) in the list when I clicked "Followed", but Hamish was pretty sure (or at least tried) he also followed me. He might have tried and failed, or maybe my lists are incomplete?

(I also found it hard to understand the "Following" buttons in the right column of the "Followed" list, but they seem to allow me to unfollow somebody in the Following list. Right?)

When I look at the results again, I doubt that I saw a bug or a discrepancy, just the usual difficulties of communication and understanding of something new.

Did some experiments with @Hamishcampbell@campaign.openworlds.info

1. Looked like our messages were federating between here and Hamish's home domain and sometimes social.coop where I was posting some of the messages. Does that seem possible at this stage? Or did I misinterpret? If so, good to have some federation going on!

2. Early in the conversation the message traffic seemed very slow. Neither of us were sure we could communicate. Later, the round trips seemed a bit quicker.

3. Overall result: we found and seem to be following each other. One weird possible bug was that I saw discrepancies between my Followed and Following lists. I need to go back to find them to report. Don't seem to be able to keep that open....will add a reply....

Looks like we should set up a test instance with Cooperation FLAVOUR enabled. Wonder what it would take to do that? Any Bonfire hosting services in the world yet? I would pay (a little bit).

The left panel says I have a Direct Message but if I click on it, nothing shows up. See screenshot.

Tried to send a message to @ivan and got this error:

Says "Video unavailable" when I go there. I wonder if it is a regional thing...?

#bonfire_feedback would be nice to auto-add the hashtag when I reply to a post that contains a hashtag. See #graeber for an example.
