Also!!! Thank you sooo much for adding support for opendyslexic font!!! That is really great of you guys to realize that some people have three dimensional minds. I'm not dyslexic, but I have helped multiple people set up dyslexic font on their computers.

Sorry I'm getting notifications so I guess Mayel faved me but I'm not seeing it through the UI #bonfire_feedback

So I was trying to add content, and the following things happened:

  1. the composer has deleted my post (it was fast, I've just lost one line),
  2. then the page has lost the focus on the composer,
  3. the first 6 words of the post I'm replying to, at the top of the composer, have disappeared (so the page has lost the focus again),
  4. then it's lost the focus,
  5. then the first 6 words have appeared again, making my browser lose the focus on the composer again.

And since then everything is fine. #bonfire_feedback

I'm still not sure whether I'll do my master thesis on self-harm or on the way social media are meant to trap improductive people into improductivity, covering as many use cases as possible in the most confusing and unhealthy way as possible (for example Twitter is terrible for publishing, but also for healthy communities and as a messaging platform). Bonfire is poised to cover these use cases fairly well, and there are lives, and even elections at stake. (Don't get me started on the way the spectacle is a modelisation scheme meant to get people like Mr. Macron elected through foreign funding.)

(Apparently Bonfire doesn't handle unbreakable spaces properly. #bonfire_feedback)

Ok so:

  1. I could fix this spacing issue by writing a word with three characters, erasing the two last, then rewriting one character and then a space or my money back.
  2. It also seems to work by inserting two spaces in a row.
  3. Erasing entire words with the control key recreates the bug, but only for the first word I'm inserting (the space before it is erased).
  4. Inserting images erases the text in the post.
  5. Editing a post to insert an hashtag doesn't seem to edit the err, keywords database I guess?
  6. The #bonfire_feedback hashtag seems misformatted?

The edit function also seems to give the first version of a message, and not the last, as a template #bonfire_feedback

Edit 1

Ok not on this one, but in my last message there were always the same missing words from the first template (only for word that I'm inserting → only for the first word I'm inserting)

Sorry,thepostearlierhadsometextwithoutanyhashtag.Icouldn'tcorrelatehashtagstothisissue.

I'mgoingtotrytoinsert an hashtag because it wasn't formatted properly earlier, and this could be due to an edit: #bonfire_feedback

  1. Congrats on the last updates!
  2. Should I use the #bonfire_feedback keyword for this? By the way, it isn't a “hashtag”. Let's not use literal newspeak here? It also happens to confuse new users.

Join us in testing comments and discussions in #bonfire!
For the next 2 weeks, we're honing our focus on fixing and improving any aspect of this core feature, and we would love to do it together with our community. Let's collaboratively craft a space that fosters both lightearted banter and profound discussions.

Here's how to get involved:

1️⃣ Join the conversation by creating a new post or responding to existing ones.

2️⃣ Spot a bug or see room for improvement? Let us know! Post your valuable feedback and don't forget to tag it with #bonfire_feedback.

3️⃣ Your feedback doesn't go unnoticed. We'll gather all the reported issues in our tracker, focusing on the most critical ones in our current milestone: github.com/bonfire-networks/...

#bonfire #future
At some point, I fantasize about deploying Bonfire in our region en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driftl... where some of the conditions and seed organizations exist to grow into a regional economic system.

I don't think Bonfire is ready yet, but that is why I am here trying it out and suggesting improvements.

One question: once upon a time, bonfirenetworks.org/ had a "flavour" and I think also a demo/experiment focused on offers and wants. I could not find that now. I did find bonfirenetworks.org/posts/bo... which seems to be somewhat related, but did not explicitly mention offers and wants or offers and needs or whatever you called it. The flavour might have had a totally different name.

But anyway. beyond being generally usable, that's one of the features we would need.

When generally usable, I would be happy to pitch in on coding and testing at that stage. I might also be able to help on performance improvements somehow. They seem to be the biggest hurdle for general usability now, altho I might be missing some other big hurdles.

What do y'all think? How realistic is that fantasy, and very roughly when? Where "when" is this year, next year, or not in the foreseeable future?

Also, if you want to suggest a circle or other boundary for discussions like this, please let me know and I will comply.

This is an afterthought to the #bonfire threaded conversations thread, where I clicked on a message in the Discussions list, and it opened the whole thread, as a lovely indented list!

Took a long time to repond so that might have happened in other lists, but I am out of time for this experiment today.

But that was a lovely indented thread presentation! Thank you, Bonfire gang!
