But I still don't get what bothers you about them? Stability or sound?
they also emit radio frequencies which interfere with radio reception. sometimes their harmonics are too strong.
they are not intended to last very long either. made to be discarded, they are wasteful.
i suspect my list is fairly long, actually.
strictly dc lighting has more options available, i think.
