The good thing with high pitched sounds is that nature solves this while getting older.
For lights there was this early period of LED lights that were slightly stroboscopic. You could notice as soon something was moving.
And early cheap projectors with a rotary wheel. When you moved your head you could notice the white light falling appart in the rgb.
Concentration simply gone.
