Suggestion: for RSS feeds, microblog posts should be paragraphs or sets of paragraphs, threads should be blog posts. #bonfire_feedback
Here are two screenshots from my RSS feeds reader, I'm posting the first one with a post from « Pages de gauche », a Swiss socialist review, and the second one with a post on Mastodon:
Ok, so apparently I can't post image attachements, at least not with image descriptions.
Here I try to post an image without any description:

We're currently noting down here all the mobile / UI issues to be addressed for the next release (input welcome here or on github as well 🤗 )

The campground instance was updated to a new release with various improvements 🔥
@bonfire@indieweb.social The latest release includes a way to switch between both modes while drafting a post, so you don't have to choose just one!
Yes, I'm here on Bonfire trying to figure out what it is and how to use it.
Did some experiments with @Hamishcampbell@campaign.openworlds.info
Looked like our messages were federating between here and Hamish's home domain and sometimes social.coop where I was posting some of the messages. Does that seem possible at this stage? Or did I misinterpret? If so, good to have some federation going on!
Early in the conversation the message traffic seemed very slow. Neither of us were sure we could communicate. Later, the round trips seemed a bit quicker.
Overall result: we found and seem to be following each other. One weird possible bug was that I saw discrepancies between my Followed and Following lists. I need to go back to find them to report. Don't seem to be able to keep that open....will add a reply....
So I saw Hamish (Vagabond) in the list when I clicked "Followed", but Hamish was pretty sure (or at least tried) he also followed me. He might have tried and failed, or maybe my lists are incomplete?
(I also found it hard to understand the "Following" buttons in the right column of the "Followed" list, but they seem to allow me to unfollow somebody in the Following list. Right?)
When I look at the results again, I doubt that I saw a bug or a discrepancy, just the usual difficulties of communication and understanding of something new.

@toontoet not on this instance, here we have enabled only microblogging features (plus some bonfire custom ones like circles, boundaries). The only way to test VF specific extensions atm is to run a local instance with Cooperation FLAVOUR enabled
Looks like we should set up a test instance with Cooperation FLAVOUR enabled. Wonder what it would take to do that? Any Bonfire hosting services in the world yet? I would pay (a little bit).
Me: And I believe you offer a señor discount.
Waiter: You mean the senior discount?
Me, wearing a poncho and sombrero: I knew it was too bueno to be true.
That's the same thing that happened to me! However, it's still going. Currently, whenever I click on one of my "active apps" (i.e. pages) it will tell me something like "this string is not found" or "you don't have permission to view this string". I wonder what happened. Also, I posted about this some months ago, with the #bonfire_feedback tag and non of the dev's have responded. Has anybody else gotten engagement from the devs?
#support tag maybe?
Still pumped for this project though.
@versolalto The pages extension is currently disabled because it is still in development (you should be getting an error saying that instead of the ones you got though, will look into that). Sorry you didn't get a response last time!
Actually, boundaries is working now. Active apps aren't. However, boundaries are freaking awesome. I can't wait until this gets out of beta. It is going to be amazing! It is truly, the ultimate social platform. I have so much control over everything I do.

J'ai finalement fini ce PDF : « La souffrance des adolescent·es que les réseaux « sociaux » capitalistes incitent au harcèlement »
#bonfire_feedback apparently unbreakable spaces are broken, what a time to be alive
Ok my bad, they were just regular spaces in the PDF output
