I expect you are right & I hope you get a chance to recharge fully.
I don't know for sure but I strongly suspect that an NT person would be confused that you can
1) be exhausted to the point of dysfunction but simultaneously
2) be carefully engaging in meta-cognitive observation and analysis to understand and catalogue your state of mind.
[But I don't find this odd at all.]
also that even new modern LEDs on AC power have a flicker problem. it seems to be due to use of the cheapest possible power supplies.
i am switching to straight up dc powered lighting as soon as i can.
mobile/rv lighting is moving from incandescent to LED fairly quickly lately. unfortunately it is still mostly garbage.
Hmm, maybe it was a bit confusing comparisson?
Currently playing on loop (while raining), getting the LSS status later this week: Royal Blood - Typhoons
My autistic interpretation/head canon for lyrics: Somewhat related to autistic trauma and unexpected link to addiction, specifically substance abuse.
nazi: muss ins krankenhaus, erzählt was von angriff.
The good thing with high pitched sounds is that nature solves this while getting older.
For lights there was this early period of LED lights that were slightly stroboscopic. You could notice as soon something was moving.
And early cheap projectors with a rotary wheel. When you moved your head you could notice the white light falling appart in the rgb.
Concentration simply gone.
A reminder that the problems at this year's Grace Hopper Conference were caused by cis men, not trans women.
It occurs to me that this may not be how NTs experience "tired after a long day/week".
Interesting article, though talk of "treatments" always makes me nervous. Gift link.

@ buddhabound @ RosethornRangerTTV To be clear for others: it's not all lights, but certain types of lights and equipment.
Flourescents are notorious for this because they don't operate on a constant current, they flicker and hum at very very high rates. But they very often have just enough inconsistency to put it into the edge of human perception... if you're brain is good at filtering sensory input, you'll brush it off and have to concentrate hard to notice it... if your brain is bad at it, then it'll be a constant torment.
Incandescent bulbs don't have this problem because they're constant.
LEDs only have these problems in especially cheap or faulty models, and it's a separate problem between hum and flicker. They run on DC power, so the light itself isn't particularly bad, but a cheap DC converter can cause a hum (many of us will notice this from cheap phone chargers as well). As far as flickering, this only happens in cheap dimmables when not operating on full brightness, and this is because the cheap dimmables dim by using Pulse Width Modulation (they dim by literally flickering and changing the rate of the flicker to make it brighter or darker).
A proper, in depth, documented dive into articifial intelligence as seen by those who shape it. Proper story by @TheAtlantic, and #LongRead really worth your attention.

Thank you for reminding me of the sound of fluorescent lighting overhead (and now I've done the same to you).
Thanks. I hate it.
For those of you that can shop, work in an office, go to pretty much any institutional building in the US without feeling like your skin is being flayed off... trust me when I say, "Yes. The lights do make sounds."
We do understand the #globalwarming caused by fossil fuels - for four decades it’s been going as predicted.
But we don’t understand the surprise upward leap that is happening now.
And that worries me.
It hurts my brain 😭
