I have disproven a family story! I've always heard that my Grampie's grandmother Lizzie Jane Bellew was not very nice & when she died in 1960 she gave everything to Elva & her other 4 kids got nothing. I now have her will: Elva got her personal belongings, Elva's 2 daughters £25 each. Muriel got £200. My Nanna got £250! The rest was split equally among the 5 children. Lizzie J may still have been mean, but she had a really hard life & wasn't loved by her family as she deserved. #Genealogy

BONUS: I told my Grandma about the will & she said "Yes. 1960! They wouldn't let me go to her funeral because I was pregnant. So I had to sit home all alone for hours. I was so worried and they were out having a party!" Another story I hadn't heard before. She's gonna ask my Grampie's sister if she ever heard anything about this will. #Genealogy
