@quillmatiq definitively makes a lot of sense, @mayel was considering also the possibility to decide if you want to publish the preview or not while writing a post (like on signal and other chat apps)...
Nice! Thought embeds weren't working since the preview didn't show up in the compose UX, but looks fine after posting.
@ivan Low priority, but would be a nice addition 🙂

Hmmm doesn't show up when there's a reply underneath 🤔
@quillmatiq that's on purpose...to avoid taking more space on the feed, but wonder if can be configurable?

Hi, as someone who has been using Hubzilla for nine years, I'm now taking a look at Bonfire...
@Rincewind Still on Hubzilla on my end but sometimes ... wondering whether it's still worth it to be honest.🙈

Why can Bonfire (campground) users only have up to 4 profiles?
@makoy we simply kept the system default in place, but any instance can override the default in the admin settings...
Why can Bonfire (campground) users only have up to 4 profiles?
Mostly new here so be it, short introduction: Kristian, late 40s, Dresden/Germany, mostly hanging out on Friendica and other federated places. Signed up here quite a while ago, no idea where Bonfire is heading and/or what will be special about it. Hello all!👋😊
#introduction
Absolutely not sure what I am doing here but well here we are. 🙈😊
feedback so far 🙂
- During profile creation, if a user enters a username/handle first before the name field, the handle field is overwritten by the name field. Expectid behaviour: since the handle field was edited already, editing the name field shouldn't affect the handle field.
- In the profile settings page, it's not clear if the avatar and cover are being uploaded or processed. It took me a couple of tries to notice there was an upload percentage progress, however, after it reaches 100% it disappears and still takes a while to show the uploaded avatar or cover.
- Still in the profile settings page. The "alias" section was confusing. I tried entering @youronlyone@c.im but I got a no response error (I'm assuming it's not federatid yet since this is a demo instance), so I tried entering a URL instead. That broke my profile settings page. 😅 I thought it was for links but I guess not.
@coyote @youronlyone thanks a ton!
fyi We're listing your feedback in the 1.0-rc3 milestone

Wow your profile page is completely unreachable for me. When I click your username I just get an error page.
@coyote @youronlyone fixed 😊
just setting up my bonfire
@quillmatiq me, too 🥳
hello world
Hmm… and I guess there's
№4 feedback. In the post above, the text after the @-tag seems to have been considered as part of the @-tag link and cut the report.
The missing text is explaining feedback №3. When the webfinger did not work, I tried a URL. I thought the alias section was for links, and clicking alias will activate a new field to give the link a custom name after the system verifies it as legit. But instead it broke my settings page and can no longer use it — which led me to realize it was not meant for as links.
