On #MindBlindness:
I am hopelessly and comically mind-blind 🤣 yet I have absolutely no issues attuning with clients in session. I've had clients express shock that I appear to have "read their minds”.
Yet, repeatedly, my partner has to remind me that “'People' don't think like that!”
Very long-winded, autistic will-kick-the-breath-from-your-lungs sentence coming up…

I am feeling silly proud of that ridiculously long sentence HA! 🤣
And so, by that reckoning, #MindBlindness isn't a thing so much as what we are facing is a clash of what I've been privately musing upon as #NeuroCultures.
So us #neurodivergent folk are like new peoples to the scene where there was an already established neuroculture, and of course, that neuroculture sees itself as established and thus dominant.
Then ingroup/outgroup dynamics kick in, of which devaluation of difference seems a sad yet intrinsically human response to assert dominance.

I don't think it's mind-blindness as much as it is completely different neuro+somato-substratums resulting in different sensitivity and input of environmental data AND different processing of said data AND sensitivity to said processing of data resulting in a different perception of ostensibly the same environment, which generates completely different perspectives and hence world views and values by which we live!
