I want to apologize for my disrespectful comments about @vernissage
My reaction to the transition from Pixelfed was emotional and unprofessional.
While I felt hurt by how the changes were handled, expressing that through negative comments was wrong and immature.
This behavior doesn't reflect my values or the constructive dialogue I want to promote in our community.
I take full responsibility for my actions and will strive to engage more respectfully in the future.
@dansup I won’t deny that being called a weirdo and accused of doing nothing for Pixelfed was deeply hurtful. I’ve invested a great deal into Impressia, dedicating many months of my life to it. The decision to make Vernissage a standalone platform is something I explained and apologized for many months ago in private messages.
I accept your apology and consider the matter resolved. I also wish you a wonderful holiday season and satisfaction in your work on projects in the coming year 🎄✨.

Is it just me or does the #Pixelfed app behave inconsistently? A lot of the time get a pic ready, type out the alt text and the caption. Hit “post” it says it’s doing stuff but then nothing gets posted…
Leaving me at, “Well I’m not doing all of that again.” Then I don’t go back to it for months.
I'm giving up on #loops. I've never once been able to log in and I'm increasingly starting to believe it might be #vaporware
I've been trying to reach out to PeerTube to work together, though I think they are pretty swamped with their awesome new app, not to mention the holidays.
PeerTube and Loops do compliment each other, as the former is more long form and Loops is super short form.
That being said, I'm eager to find ways we can leverage our strengths to make each others platforms even better, and I'm super thankful for the pioneering work they've done so far.

Vorrei togliermi questa curiosità: tralasciando i gamers per ovvi motivi (quindi mi rivolgo solo a utentз che usano il pc principalmente per la navigazione e attività varie in rete, creazione e modifica di testi, fotografie, brevi video, fogli di calcolo o presentazioni ecc...) quali sono i principali freni che rallentano il vostro passaggio a OS liberi unix-like (tendenzialmente GNU\Linux) e quindi l'abbandono di Windows?
Mi piacerebbe molto sentire il parere di persone che non utilizzano questi sistemi o al massimo li utilizzano da meno di un anno in dual boot (quindi mantenendo una partizione dedicata a Win).

Here's my niche mastodon frustration:
If I go to the profile of someone not on my instance, and look at who they're following, it shows me a random* subset of who they're following, unless I go to their homeserver.
I find this frustrating because when I find someone very informative or inspiring, I find that they often follow others I want to follow. It's a good discovery tool for me.
*I know it's not random but to the end user it feels random.
