Am I the only one that loves teeny tiny flowers?
I don't see many posts for flowers like this, but goldenrods are some my favs. There's just something so magical about hundreds of these exquisite little flowers making up these big showy blooms.
No idea the variety of goldenrod. I don't remember what I planted & that tag has long since vanished lol.
I don't think it's mind-blindness as much as it is completely different neuro+somato-substratums resulting in different sensitivity and input of environmental data AND different processing of said data AND sensitivity to said processing of data resulting in a different perception of ostensibly the same environment, which generates completely different perspectives and hence world views and values by which we live!
I am feeling silly proud of that ridiculously long sentence HA! 🤣
On #MindBlindness:
I am hopelessly and comically mind-blind 🤣 yet I have absolutely no issues attuning with clients in session. I've had clients express shock that I appear to have "read their minds”.
Yet, repeatedly, my partner has to remind me that “'People' don't think like that!”
Very long-winded, autistic will-kick-the-breath-from-your-lungs sentence coming up…

There is something we can all do to call out the hypocrisy of the Anti-Defamation League's announcement of starting up advertising on X/Twitter again. Their own writing discusses the dangers of stochastic violence, and now they've decided to support it. Shameful! See copy of my comment to the online ADL site in the Reply to this post. Feel free to use any part of it.

I feel much more comfortable responding to something. There is a context to which I can align myself, even if I may sometimes align awkwardly or wrongly. At least there is a something-ness there that I can attempt to relate to.
I’ve also wondered if this is related to a different dimension of #MindBlindness: Knowing what one person is thinking or feeling is hard enough, much less the potential infinite number of “the public”!
I’m reflecting on what I want to post on my #Mastodon account.
Soliloquising doesn't seem to be my thing; "soliloquy” being what I’m using to describe what we do when we post on social media. Could be part of #ComplexTrauma, being an #introvert / #ambivert or #neurodivergence.
As awkward as I feel to join in a conversation, it feels easier than thinking about what to post. Perhaps I'll get more comfortable with this after interacting with more people here.

Gotta love (/sarcasm) the cycle of:
Need social stimuli>socialize>make social errors>isolate myself to recover from the ensuing emotional trauma>repeat #actuallyautistic
After Oshawa GO Station was renamed for Durham College last year, Brampton’s downtown GO Station has a new name too.
Though I understand the city’s rationale, I still don’t like Metrolinx’s selling of station naming rights.
