If you have hidden/secret phone (safety reasons or whatever else) - turn it off tomorrow. The only bypass way to ensure you skip the alert = turning it off. Only turn it back on in a safe environment.
Stay safe, make sure it stays hidden.

Excellent critique of the politics of the #Oppenheimer film by esteemed historian Tsuyoshi Hasegawa.
Two key takeaways:
-the film makes the production and use of the weapons seem "inevitable"
-it reinforces the illusion that the nuclear attacks "ended the war" (Hasegawa's work on this elsewhere is definitive)

I find it extremely interesting that House Republicans are having to reckon with being held captive by a small minority of their party. As the Republican Party nationwide constantly subjects us to their minoritarian disruption of those elected by a majority, they are getting a firsthand taste of the medicine they so often force on others.
Seriously, what a crappy job that must be right now.

Guess who has two thumbs and is, as of this morning, married to the principal investigator on a major National Institutes of Health grant?
(That would be Danielle Arigo, Ph.D.) https://today.rowan.edu/news/2023/10/arigo-named-nih-new-innovator.html
For the record, I’m not available for the House Speakership. If elected I will not serve.
