yeah, no, it only supports from Veritas version 2 onward, and this disk is version 1

PLUS it turns out the drive we're trying to mount uses Veritas/VxFS, which is a commercial-only filesystem. Interactive Unix 4.1.1 doesn't have Veritas by default, you'd need to buy it separately. back in 1998.

Like, even if your boot disk is 200mb and it's on controller 1 and you have an unrelated second drive on controller 2 that's 19gb, it'll fail to format the 200mb boot drive. it just hangs.

This is Interactive UNIX, aka PC/IX, an OS by Interactive Systems Corporation. I'm using 4.1.1, which was released by Sun (because ISC got bought by Kodak in '88, who sold them to Sun in '91)
apparently the answer is "they actually released in 1994, but then did a minor 1998 update and didn't feel like rewriting the installer to handle CD-ROMs"

This woman was not intimidated.
She wanted to use situational power to tell me to shut up, and the threat of force to get me kicked out of the hotel or subjected to physical violence.
She was genuinely surprised that most of the white folk that saw this interaction were appaled and disgusted by her actions. She was confused that she couldn't weaponize hotel security.

Security shows up, and she says that I'm intimidating her, standing too close to her, shouting at her, etc.
Security listened patiently to her story, and the other guests told what really happened.♥️
Security says, "Ma'am. We have security cameras and I saw everything that happened. What you said is not accurate. And...you initiated verbal contact with him? I'm not kicking him out, I'm not kicking you out, and I'm not kicking the other guest out. Is there anything else I can help you with?"
